Zibibbo nectar is one of the traditional products of Pantelleria. It is obtained, with traditional methods, from cooking the must of the zibibbo grape flower. During the process, the zibibbo grape puree is added to the sugar. The resulting mixture is cooked over low heat.
Zibibbo nectar is a kind of honey that is packaged, strictly by hand, without the addition of dyes and / or additives of any kind.
The classic use is in combination with spicy, seasoned or fresh cheeses, but it can also be combined with shellfish and meats. Its sweet and particular taste makes it the ideal companion for yogurt and ice cream.
